The mayor has quite a collection of monacles as the story goes, and apparently the owl has lost his monacle.. so the question that begs to be asked is why won't the mayor help him out and give him one?

    Maybe he also ran for mayor but during the campaign he misplaced his eyewear, and knowing it would be harder to read the latest poll results Mr toffee decided to wait until after the race to lend him one. @QueenMia

    Actually the fact is Odus is wise and not at all interested in competing for the post of Mayor. He is fully aware of the current affairs without reading anything due to his great wisdom and knack of gathering information from his associates. On the contrary he is glad to get rid of his glasses as they were always slipping on his beak. 
    Mr. Toffee wants to hold the World Record and hence he isn't interested in parting the monacles to anyone.
