Dachs is never an option for me even though I’ve unlocked him?

Hi! I’m on level 532 on my Apple iPhone 7plus. I unlocked the character, Dachs, several levels ago. I see that his power helps with cookie levels, but the game has never shown him as an option when I’m playing. I have played no less than ten cookie levels since I’ve unlocked him and still nothing. Is this a bug? I can’t seem to find anything about this specific problem. Only people talking about the ability to unlock him in the first place, which I have done.

He's not available on every cookie level. If you let me know which one I'll go and check to see if he's a friend choice for me. I know sometimes they're different for different people. He also needs green candies so if no greens are on the board he won't ever be an option ☺
***edit-just checked those levels, Dach isn't an option for me either

Thank you! That makes sense that he wouldn’t be an option if green candies aren’t on the board. I will pay attention next time I get to a cookie level.
