It's a Tough Question for Me Too. I know everyone is special and talented .
So, This choice will be hard but for this question , I will consider two Factors-
1st - All-Rounderness
Ability to complete any type of level for a character is All-Rounderness
2nd - Less Candies Character Charge
The Amount of Required Time to charge a character's ability will decide how fast the level will get completed. This is Less Candies Character Charge Factor.
So, According to First Factor, Misty is All-Rounder for Every type of level.
According to the Second Factor, Odus is perfect .

Nutcracker of course!
He saved me many times from the hardest situations in 'Spread the Jam' and 'Dunk the Cookie' Levels.
My love for him is so big that it will never change.
Seriously, and he is so powerful and always ready for action (between us I love his skill a lot) and he is very very cute and adorable and his outfits are so elegant just like him.
Seriously buddy...If I could, I would wrote down a whole page cause I have even more things to say about him.
So, Nutcracker forever and ever!

Seriously, he is just the best...at least for me!
But in Spread the Jam levels (if Nutcracker isn't available) , I prefer to choose Jelly Queen cause her skill is double...and she breaks the blockers and she spreads the jam faster. -
@Sofia1992 for the jam levels I'm not too sure about the jelly queen yet she is good but I've only used her about 4 times so far I'm still hesitant of her🤔 but odus is the man for me when it comes to the jam levels. I did notice with the J.Q. she is good with free the animals 😉

My go to friend is Yeti. Yeti's wrapped candy is great and his move is predictable. I can anticipate a wrapped candy will be thrown next to a stripped or color bomb when Yeti is charged up. I believe I used Yeti the most in the pre-1000 levels. The wrapped and stripped candy is great for the hearts level. If in doubt, pick Yeti!

Nutcracker is the best character ever, with Misty as my runner-up.
He is my best destroyer of blockers when it comes to dunking cookies and spreading jam. He can deal 2x damage to Caramel Cup blockers, not something other friends can do. Jelly Queen can also destroy blockers, but she can only remove 1 layer. Why not add some more power to that? With 20 orange candies collected, she spreads the jam and destroys only 1 layer of every blocker she hits. 😔

Yes, I will definitely agree that Nutcracker is the best destroyer of blockers ever and his skill is so unique just like him.
It's true that he can do double damage in caramel cup blockers and he hits more than 5 horizontally connected squares on the board . If we analyse it alittle, Nutcracker's skill works like single pink lollipops. So powerful enough to destroy blockers and especially the caramel cup blockers.
Now about Jelly Queen, her skill a double one.
And she destroys blockers and also, she spreads the jam faster. But if wonder why she spreads the jam and destroys only 1 layer of every blocker she hits, the answer is simple. Jelly Queen's skill is called 'Cross Blast'.
Color Blast works like Striped+Striped Combo which is when you combinate 2 striped candies together oe better to say when you use a striped candy lollipop.
As result, it removes Candy and does a single hit on blockers in a single row and column in Cross Shape but it Cannot go through Licorice Swirls which includes spreading Jam.
Hmmm...Now that I'm thinking it better, Jelly Queen's skill is a combination of Odus' skill and Nutcracker's skill together. Odus cause he creates two striped candies in panel if he collects 8 purple candies and Nutcracker who destroys blockers with 10 blue candies be collected. -
@Sofia1992 it may be the same as a double Striped Candy combo, but it may be more powerful than that. I think it depends on how much candy you have to collect for one of your friends if they have a similar power. It may even be powerful enough to go through licorice!
For example, Jelly Queen needs 20 orange candies to activate her power. It hits blockers in a cross blast and removes a single layer. For the power to be stronger, you need to collect 25 candies for 2x and 30 for 3x. Now that is a lot of candies you need to collect for a powerful attack that will help you complete any level.
That is an idea I had in mind since I started using her. It will be useful for really tough levels, and quite challenging also for those who use Jelly Queen. Nutcracker, Red Rabbit, Dachs, and Olivia won't be a big deal, as long as the level you play on has a lot of the required colors for your friend
