Animal levels

Animal levels or Free the Animals levels are one of the five level types in Candy Crush Friends Saga.

Goal

Just like frosting levels in Candy Crush Soda Saga, to win animal levels, the player has to collect all of the animals on the board, which is done by clearing the frosting.

When all animals are collected, Sugar Crush is activated - fish, striped and wrapped candies are made for every move remaining, giving 3,000 points for each. Then each of them activates themselves.

A player also has to reach a certain score requirement (for one star). This is usually redundant, due to the fact that if you complete the main level objective, you always have enough points for at least one star.

General Strategy

• Working on the bottom of the board can make special candies and matches above.
• Fish candy and fish candy combos will find the hidden animals.
• A wrapped candy set off beside a jelly will hit it twice but if used as a fish combo will hit only once.
• Wrapped candy will only hit the top when the bottom is solid ice where combo with a striped candy will go through 3 rows by 3 columns if there are no blockers but together they are a great combo.
• Use Special Candies to hit the areas you can't reach.
• Special Candies are always helpful.
• Combine Special Candies: Color Bomb + Striped.
• Using a Color Bomb also makes it easier to make the other Special Candies since it reduces one of the colors on the board.
• Playing low on the board can make auto matches above removing some of the ice for you.
• If you have no moves to break blockers make special candy or collect your friend's candy.
• Candy trapped in ice is not set off by special candy Color Bombs or Coloring Candy.
• Sometimes you don't need to remove all the ice to free the animals with a striped candy or combo next to it.

Trivia

• In the beta version, its name was Mammoth levels.
• This level type has exactly the same properties as Frosting level in Candy Crush Soda Saga.
