How can I properly use friend "Rachel" ?

She seems to be trash when I use her. The only time she helped is when I had either a color bomb or a coloring candy lined up with the color rainbow candy and I switched the 2. The other thing now that I'm passed level 1000 on friends, Is there any friends to unlock other than the bubble gum troll?

Hello @Rocko1 - I am glad you are enjoying Candy Crush Friends. Rachel can be a challenge. She is very cute and if she has the space she will at least create a stripe for you but as you mentioned - her power is most useful if she shows up next to a booster, where you can get four of that booster by using her and her powers.
Besides the BGT, there is her Royal Sassiness, the Jelly Queen! She has awesome powers, but you need to collect a lot of orange candies in order for her to use her powers.

There's no way to unlock Special Event Characters without Special Events.
Rachel, Jelly Queen, Bubblegum Troll and Olivia are the Special Event Characters currently in the Game.
Every Character are getting a re-event these days.
So, There will be some day where you can get Every Special Event Character of the Game. Till then Let's Wait for Special Events. Take care. Have a great day.
