I have an android. The app has never crashed before. This has never happened before. That's why I am so upset.

I am so sorry to hear that your game crashed and you have lost all the level progress of the Special event π
I too agree that level 5 was the hard one so far and it took me also many number of trials. I had to use some Lollipops and Gold Bars to finish the level as I was too close to the goal!
I have not heard anybody else complaining about this issue! Hence, I am wondering it must have been an issue with your device!
But, can you do me a favor? Can you please give me your game user ID number? I will ask the Friends game Community Manager and ask them if they can help you to restore the progress! I am not sure if they can do that or not, so, I cannot give you a definite answer about it.
To find the ID number, you simply click on the "Profile" tab -- then in the appeared screen, double click on the "King Emblem" that is located in the top of the screen. Just write that number here.
