They are harmful, very much actually. Imagine people having epilepsy. These special effects very well can cause seizures. People could end up at the hospital. But it seems to me, they just don't care (the developers that is). It's just being ignored, because someone thinks it's fun. And that's just sad, it's just pathetic…
