Usually this means that the device (your iPad here) is not on the latest version. Try updating the Candy Crush app, then replaying an old level, and see if that fixes it.

Ah, that. Yes, I have had it happen a few times. Usually when that happens, if I reopen Candy Crush, it at least gives me credit for the episode win, and I get awarded the gold bars for the win itself then. I didn't use timed boosters for that, no. I have over 3000 of each of those boosters saved up from watching ads, so I was fine using them. They worked for me on old levels; it's possible that's the difference.

That's weird, MannyFae. Just yesterday I was completing this exact option, and for me I very carefully checked - I WAS able to use old levels. I was also able to use Star Tournament levels. I did the first few with old levels, then did the rest with Star Tournament levels to complete the box. I wonder if it's different…

Charleyfarley I totally agree about the lollipops/switches. Way better than anything requiring new levels. For end of map, basically it seems like you have a chance to get 2 or 3 boxes done if you're lucky before being forced to do a bunch of new levels.

Unfortunately the colored candies on new level wins options do NOT work with the Star Tournament. I am worried about my current task (960 red candies on new level wins). But most of the other tasks seem to be working in the Star Tournament.
