Hello BlackBellaOct, I suggest you uninstall the Microsoft app and go to the Microsoft store to download it again. This will make your game current and should start it working correctly.

It's my favorite game. I love it also.

The company kind does not pay to play it's games. I have seen several apps that will pay you for playing games not only candy crush but other games as well. King doesn't have anything to do with those apps.
