The Original Board in the Pic above appears to be a Sniping Board. Particularly a Fish Sniping Board.
Using the Sniping Strategy doesn't usually require one to buy additional boosters, when there are those Special Candies, dropping from the Candy Canons. In that case, you have both Fish and Striped Candy Cannons. Making a match of them both easier.
There are 2 opportunities to create a Fish Combo there, right under the Canon, for more Fish to drop. The Fish will always take out Blockers first & help in removing them. A Stripped Candy & Fish Candy Combo, means you'll be able to swipe the board, at the least, Vertically, enabling a Monkling to drop below the String if there are no Blockers on the Board.
Try to plan 3 moves ahead in Candy placement, check the dropping Candies from the Canons & set up Candy combos.
AS for Level 5391 (which is not a bad distance from Level 5350, so you must be doing something right), you'll have to post a screenshot for me, as I'm almost there, but not quite yet 😊
