Royal Tournament - Controversial but ....
This thread is NOT to cause arguments but I am just very curious. As some of you may know I loved playing the RC but have recently stopped playing as I felt the whole feel of the game had changed, Every opponent I was paired against would have double lollipop hammers or block from the get go. My style of play has never been aggressive, I liked to win of course and 99.9% of the time would top the leader board but I achieved this through what I consider to be fair play. I am curious to hear from a player(s) who use the blocking tactic from the off and I would love to know why. I get you want to win but I fail to see how turning it into effectively a game of Solitaire is enjoyable. To reiterate this thread is not to cause arguments I appreciate everyone has their own style of play for me it was strategic and I liked to actually have game so would rarely block but I would just like to hear the other side.

Very interesting thread @holliedolly2002!
I want also to hear opinions about different strategies!
My opinion is well known, but I can say again that I do not like so much blockers, so a limitation to their use would be welcome by me as a player! Sometimes, when the player who play first has a lot of blue or red candies, fills up the blocker immediatelly, cages and leaves the second player without any option!
I also think that the simoultaneous use of two powerful boosters should be restricted! However, as long as the option of boosters' purchasing is available, I use simoultaneously the two powerful hammers, just for one reason: to win the last chest match proceeding to the next level, knowing that these matches are usually more "challenging"! This does not mean that I am the winner all the times! In some cases I loose in a very easy way!!! ๐
I also know that it is unfair to play using powerful boosters against someone who plays only woth the two basic ones! โบ

Hi @Nikolaos_Prodromidis yes I know you agree with me about the use of blockers and like you I would love to see them limited to say 3 or 4 uses uses during a match (if in fact we have to them at all). I know my enjoyment for the game would return if it felt a little more even. Really hope this does not cause any arguments but when we talk about blocking etc we never hear from the other side so I was really hoping one would pop up to explain!

For me 2 uses max. is O.K.
Also no blockers' use during the 1st moveset! ๐

Morning @Nikolaos_Prodromidis no blocking on first move is a brilliant idea and would certainly open the game to more players. Not sure how they could implement this but would make a huge difference to the game. Is this something you can mention to them?

It is a good idea for the ideas area. I don't know if this already exists! ๐

Loving your title & the topic!
I was not really a fan of using the blockers & if I did, it was the Liquorice Lock (the Cage), before coming to the community. I have heaps of other blockers stored.
Although, when conversing here in Jelly with @ClarenceBeaks, I began to appreciate the Cage a bit more & started to use it differently.
Since them, I usually use the plain Lollipop Hammer & Cage selection. Preferring to win through skill.
If I lose to an opponent with a Striped Lollipop & a Wrapped Candy Lollipop combo, I figure they are either desperate for a chest win or not that good ๐
I do like those occasional matches, were it is a fun game against an opponent who actually has selected the Wiggling or Liquorice Swirl Blocker, with a Lollipop.
Occasionally I find an opponent who chooses 2 Blockers only but personally, I think they lose more than they win that way lol

Hi @Lady_Sarina, @holliedolly2002 and @NatalieG!
Today I met an opponent who used the fishnet! This is very rare!!!
In the screenshot my opponent blocked me once and is blocking me again!
I finally lost the match! ๐ โบ

Hi @Lady_Sarina I am glad you are also not a fan of blocking! I am not surprised but I am disappointed that players who rely on them have not joined the conversation I was hoping for some insight.
When I played like you I liked to have a strategy and placed no reliance on blockers. I have also played people with the two blockers and have usually beat them its not a good combo. I would love to see come changes to the game and think its well overdue. I think Nikolaos has some very good ideas which would make the game fairer and more enjoyable. I might even be tempted to start playing again!

Hi @Nikolaos_Prodromidis were those two blockers on the same turn - how is that possible. I noticed when I was playing that the special boosters now fill up quicker than the standard ones.
