It's clear Baz works for King. Activision invested a lot of money in King and they need a return on their investment. The easiest way to do that is to produce nearly impossible timed levels to target seniors to buy more boosters. This is a no brainer.

No, this level was designed by a 40 something accounting person to make money on all the boosters you will need to buy to beat the level. As you've noticed, more and more levels are being designed with one thing in mind, separating you from your money!

King (Activision) needs to generate more revenue so they are making the levels increasingly impossible. You don't expect to play for free now do you?

Timed levels are an excellent way to generate revenue especially from senior aged players that have access to their own money.
