Hi and welcome to the community and apologies for you not getting a response earlier. Were they actually lives? As if you are sent lives when your life bank is full or you are offline, they change to beans. So it sounds like you got beans instead.

Golden pins are the level numbers on the map. The only special thing about them is they show you (and only you) that you passed the level on the first try. As to the piggy bank, we haven't heard anything I am sorry. The studio don't always share nicely.

If its any consolation you cannot possibly measure yourself by how long others took. Some levels you struggle on, they won't, some levels they struggle on, you won't. So give yourself credit for passing the level and well done :)
