The removal of the leaderboard makes it more difficult to identify who are the major and the most trusted contributors in the forums, lest the board be flooded with irrelevant posts or the youtube channels they are advertising.

I have used the late joiner tactic. It worked partially, as I finished 15th or so in a leaderboard of 17.
