I also opened a new account and it’s working for me. But I have almost 900 gold bars and over 200 of each booster (except for the fishing net and block, because those are never given 🙄) in the RC for the profile that’s not working. If they’re not going to fix it, there should be some kind of compensation or refunds going…
I’m able to play it by signing in through Apple with a new profile but that’s not working for everyone. I just hope they can get it fixed because I have over 200 of each booster saved up on my Facebook profile that I can’t access. Really sucks.
It’s not clear at all on how often they’ll have it though. It could just be closed for a day or two per week or it could only be open once a week. Some clarification would be nice.

Okay good to know! For me, the only thing that makes it work is signing in through Apple. When I signed up for a new account with my new email address with the email option it still shows closed and signing in with my original email just brings up my Facebook account. I would suggest signing in a different way instead of Facebook (I used Apple) to see if it starts working. It sucks because you lose everything and have to start over but it’s something to play until (hopefully) they figure out how to fix it. And everything is still saved in the Facebook account. I’ve contacted support…
The problem definitely appears to be connected to Facebook rather than the device being used. When I’m logged in another way it seems to work just fine. I’d be curious to know if anyone that it’s actually working for is logged in through Facebook.
