There are six different candy colors in the game – red, blue, yellow, orange, purple and green.

Creating special Candies

The Striped Candy Booster can be created by combining four equal candies.  It’s a great booster because when you use it as a match, it will clear out an entire row or column. The direction that you swipe the paint brush determines a horizontal or vertical stripe. For example, a vertical striped candy can clear out a whole column, whereas a horizontal strip can clear out a whole row.  When placed in the right position it can remove blockers such as jellies or chocolate. It can be very useful when matching it next to a wrapped candy or a color bomb booster.  Matching the two boosters together will create a combo and the results will be fun to watch!

The Color Bomb Booster is a special candy that looks like a chocolate ball with sprinkles on it.  You must make a match of five candies in a row to create this booster.  It’s not always easy to make this match but it is awesome at clearing out blockers.  Just match it with a specific candy color and all similar colored candies will be removed from the board.  If you can match this booster with a striped candy, all the same color candies on the board will become stripes and cause a lot of awesome explosions.  If you are ever able to combine two color bombs, it will clear the entire board.

The Wrapped Candy Booster results from matching at least three vertical and three horizontal candies forming a T-Shape, or an L-shape.  This booster is much more difficult to get compared to the striped candy.  But, when you can use it as part of a match, it will explode twice.  The first explosion will knock out the candies surrounding it.  The second explosion will knock out another group of candies.  These boosters can be useful in removing the blockers within their explosion area.  This works out well for the levels that have a lot of jelly, especially those hard to reach areas.

Creating Combos

A Striped and Wrapped Combo is the only available combined booster that you can obtain prior to playing the game. It’s a great booster but you never know where they will land once the board opens because it’s random.  I’ve never seen them land next to each other.  You can only get this booster by playing the daily booster wheel or by playing the sugar drop challenge.   When matched next to each other it will cause a big explosion. The candies will explode horizontally and vertically.

Combining two Striped Candies is a great combo to watch! When they are matched side by side, vertically or horizontally, you can clear out a column and a row in one move which originates from where it was made.

When you combine a Striped Candy and a Candy Bomb next to each other, all candies that match the color of the striped candy will convert to all striped candies that will clear out quite a bit of the board.  Some levels require you to create a specific number of striped candies and having a combo such as this will help you reach that number quickly.  This combo can also help you clear some difficult areas but it’s not a guarantee as to which way the stripes will be facing (horizontal or vertical).

Two Wrapped Candies, when combined side by side, will give you a massive explosion which is much bigger than individual wrapped candies exploding.  Similar to a single Wrapped candy, the explosions will happen twice.  Using this combo may not be as useful in achieving your level’s targets, but it is fun to do and generates bigger points.  It can also be used to significantly clear out some blockers like jellies, licorice, and chocolate.

The Combination of a Wrapped Candy and a Color Bomb next to each other will turn all candies that are the same color as the wrapped candy into all wrapped candies of the same color.  Now that is some explosion!  This works out well in some of the higher levels when you must destroy the popcorn blocker.  When combined each wrapped candy will explode twice.

Combine two Color Bombs and now you’ve got the ultimate explosion! It will completely clear your game board.  I would relate this explosion as basically refreshing your board with new candies.
