Lost progress when updating to Facebook

I was trying to find out why I wasn’t receiving daily gifts any longer and some of the advice said to save to Facebook then uninstall the app. I saved progress in the past with Facebook- so I clicked save progress- and just like that my entire game changed back to the last time I saved my progress. I was on level 2444 and now I am on level 470.
