Help! Transferring over game progress to another device without an account.

grandmaissuesgrandmaissues Posts: 2 Newbie

My grandma is on level 582 on candy crush on her generations-old iPad but we’re trying to get her into a much newer iPad. However, we are worried that signing her up for an account on iPad 1 will reset her progress. Is there any way to move her level count over to her new iPad without creating an account? Or will creating an account on iPad 1 and then logging in on iPad 2 work?

Please help.

Hello and welcome to this community

If you buy a new device, it should be transferred. Please download the app and update it. When you get to level one, please play the level again and finish and update it. If it doesn't help, please go to the help center gear - question mark. Then you will be taken there manually to your current level.

    I hope this helps!!!

    Good luck

You must create your account in your old device in order to save your current progress, then you login to the new device using your registered account.

If I sign up for an account on the old iPad will it reset the level on the old one?

    Hi @grandmaissues !

If the game is not saved anywhere or connected to an account on the old device and you now connect it to Facebook or create a King account, it will only save the levels on that account. Not reset.

After it's saved, open the game on the new device and log in to the same account and the levels will sync.

In case the levels get reset, don't panic. In this worst case scenario there's a plan B.

Open the game on the new device, connect the game to a King account and then email Player Support from the Settings and Help Center. Ask them to manually restore the levels for you on the new iPad and new account. Don't forget to mention the level she was on so they can restore them right away.
