Leaving a team

Dear support team

I accepted an invitation to join a team through email link (gmail) and after joining I have found out that the team owner left the team, making me automatically the team owner (!), in a team that has a set goal of 15000 points(!) and I have no option to leave it or join another one. I am using a lenovo TB2-X30F with android 6.01.

Just wondering... are you talking about the original Candy Crush game OR the Candy Soda game?

If it is Candy Crush saga, you might be talking about the Fantastic Five challenge! But, it needs only 5000 points!

If it is Candy Soda, you must be talking about Soda Squad -- in which, the team has to collect 15000 points.

Can you please confirm which game and which feature it is? You can simply type your reply in the comment box given below.

Many thanks for the swift reply, I confirm it is the Candy Crush Saga and it is indeed the fantastic 5 feature I am having a problem with. My wife's version of the game seems to be allowing to create/leave team, mine actually only has one button "sweet" (equivalent to OK) once entering the team to view the progress.

Ironically the person who sent the invite to join her team was my wife, who then decided she no longer wanted to lead the team she had created, left and made me automatically the team lead in a single member team that seems to be unworkable in every respect. 🙄

Neither of us has the candy crush soda installed, by the way. I didn't know that was the target for that game, I just thought it was a glitch of the game (which I am afraid it actually is)

@geotzi I would suggest that for now you search for a public team and join it unless you have specific friends you would rather invite. Once you join the new team though, any points you have accrued so far will remain with your old team. Hope this helps.

Yep. Looks like you don't have custom teams and your wife did so you don't have the option to choose. I had the problem that the latest version wasn't installed and 173 brought custom teams in for me. They haven't rolled it out to many players yet. Definitely a case for @AmiDiggory to have a look at. Meanwhile assuming you have the latest version, force quit your app through "recent apps" and try reloading again. No promises but it may get you back to a random team. Good luck and keep your eye out here.

Ps I have both layouts on 2 phones and they are both latest version.

Sorry for my ignorance, is this the square button at the bottom which brings all the recent apps cascaded? There is only one instance of the game showing there
