Can't connect using Facebook
Hello
So, I.always have played being logged into my facebook account, so I can see my FB profile pic and I can see my FB friends, when I play.
Since a few days I can only see my King character profile and I cannot see an option to connect to facebook.
It seems.my progress will.be saving, but I miss seeing my friends progress and also I have better chance of winning highest amount of levels, so more boosters, lol.
I am an experienced player, level 6500+ this hasn't happened before. I have tried updating my phone and apps.
I have tried logging out of king but no luck that way too.

If possible, login and open the game through facebook on PC to check your Facebook level is up to date. If it is behind, take a note of current level on the phone. Make sure you know your exact login details for Facebook. Completely uninstall Facebook app (NOT CCS) from your phone and log out Facebook from all browsers. Restart phone, Reinstall Facebook. Open CCS and you should see option to log in with FB. If your level has gone down, contact support at the bottom of this page and supply your facebook email address.

I tried all the steps you mentioned, but it still os not possible. FB on the PC has registered my current level, so thats a relief however it's really strange this is happening.
I took screenshots of all the steps. I'll share what I think is relevant. Thanks again.
When I opened CCS app it just said 'my profile' with king profile pic under 'play'.
I tried logging out. So then I became a new player on level 1. After clicking my profile on new account I get following
Clicking continue with FB, I got
But it still took me to king

Do not reveal sensitive info here ... u may need to private msg the community manager with ur account id for assist ...

I have just started playing Candy Crush and I noticed my friends!!! It all seems fine but just my profile picture isn't synced yet. So I still have the king one.

Guess logging in via PC after 2 years did pay off! Currently 2nd on the leaderboard ;)
Still a bit odd though huh?! Where is the normal FB log in...

Its gonna give u an option to sign in using your email or Facebook

My FB profile pic has now returned too, after not doing anything other than what Bumper2019 suggested initially.
