Hi and welcome well it all depends on the situation. But for me i always try to take it as deep as i can. May be in the last 2-3 moves.

For me use wisely ans sparingly and normally if i have 1 move left and i know getting that last block is impossible and also if it means i can get a two color bomb combo if i cannot get it without

I actually prefer the Switch Hand before the Candy Hammers.
You can move the candies in more ways and also move the Color Bomb to switch it with the right colour or a Striped or Wrapped Candy.
