How come I’ve never had a chocolate box?

My friends downloaded the game this year, I’ve played candy crush for about 4 years now and they have a chocolate box and get a lot of free power ups by watching videos every time they lose a life. How come newer players get more freebies?

I'm new here also so I'm not sure but I think its because king selects a group of players to randomly tests new features its most likely that you aren't in that test group , you might be selected next time theres a group for that feature or a new feature its really just luck, a good internet connection may help.
