They (King) are basically getting petty & stingy, you can read about the issue here (among other smaller threads).
Now you've gotta try winning your current level in the allotted # of moves if you'd rather not deal with that...

Hello @Changingfaces and a very warm welcome to our wonderful King Community! There used to be a free move option on the daily wheel and approx. every 48 hours you had the option to spin the wheel one time for free for 5-15 extra moves but that option has been removed. It was a test feature and there may be a few people who still have it.
Your idea sounds like a good one and I recommend you go to the ideas section (see at the top of the page) to see if it or something similar has already been suggested. You can win free gold bars by coming in 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the episode race so you can accumulate 10 GB which would give you 5 extra moves on a level.
Now that you have found the community - I encourage you to stay and explore, meet new people from around the world who share your love for the various King games, make new friends, get help on difficult levels, share tips and tricks you have picked up, enter contests ad just have a lot of fun!
