New Gold Rush Event - Unfair to Top Players

I logged into my game and a pop-up mentioned a Gold Rush Event...finish 90 levels by next Sunday to win 50 gold bars.
How is that event fair to players who are at the top? Candy Crush releases just 45 new levels a week! So I'm going to be punished and lose out on 50 gold bars because I play daily and I'm at the last level??
More and more events and features being released seem to hurt those at the last level, the most committed Candy Crush players.
