Slow internet, Game not connected, or some other reason, you may face such problems. You can check out some troubleshooting below.
Reset/Clear cache data from App Store - Check app update - Log out game - Restart Device - Open game and Log in.
This happens to me sometimes. I have to follow the above instructions and the most important part is clearing your cache. Once I do that my correct avatar returns.
If you are connected to Facebook, the avatar will be taken from your Facebook profile. Check this connection. Disconnect from facebook and reconnect to facebook. If your problem is not resolved, please contact me again
