Unfortunately, there is a problem here that affects many players. Check out the link.
You may be able to check whether the game is active on Facebook under Settings / Apps and websites /. Otherwise you are one of those whom it affects.

Mostly of players have asked this problem.
You can check here (Not receiving any Lives or did you lose all stored Lives?) and here (Receiving and sending lives via Facebook - not working!?) to read that similar information by Crazy Cat Lad the Community Manager that I hope you can understand to read it. (Like Werner has answered you)

@lizadaniel Hi and welcome, Please check you device and game are up to date and log out and restart your device and see if this resolves your issue
If not check Facebook settings under webs and app and make sure the game is active and notifications allowed
If this does not work there is some people that are experiencing an error with sending and receiving lives, This issue is being investigated, but we have no time frame on a fix for this at present
