Slow internet, Game not connected, or some other reason, you may face such problems. You can check out some troubleshooting below.
Reset/Clear cache data from App Store - Check app update - Log out game - Restart Device - Open game and Log in.

@samevelyn Hi and welcome, As well as the tips above. Try disconnecting your wifi while in the game for 30 seconds and then reconnect to see if this helps and also if playing via mobile try switching between wifi and data
