Anyone else noticed this if you're stuck on a level?

I was on level 4075 and really noticed it this time. I've seen it a few times before and thought, that's weird.

So, I'm stuck on the level. Stuck, stuck, stuck, stuck. It starts with 20 turns. Just can't make all the cherries drop in 20 turns. About the thousandth time I 'Try Again,' suddenly I have more turns... I didn't notice at the beginning, but it must've been like 45 turns. And also the layout changed. No more little units that drop striped candy down.

Regardless of the fact that the level just got a little harder (no striped candies dropping down), having lots more turns helped me win the level.

What causes the extra turns and the different layout? This was the first time I noticed the layout change.

I didn't do anything different. No new boosters or anything.

This has only happened to me once so far.

I had been stuck on Level 575 for four days, and it got that bad I actually asked for help in Support.

Then, a few hours into my fourth day of playing the amount of moves changed from 21 to 40.
