Issues with game

I have had an account for many years now and a couple of days ago my picture disappeared and the game is not functioning correctly. When I tried to change my password it wouldn't take my e-mails to reset my password. So therefore I had to create a brand new account. I'm not sure what happened to my original account and why it is not showing my cat picture I have always had. Can you help?
