A Guide to all Candy Crush Saga Boosters!

A booster is a power-up that helps you win levels. There are two types of boosters: in-game and pre-game.

Here are all the boosters in the game (listed from top-left to bottom-right): Color Bomb, Lollipop Hammer, Striped + Wrapped Candy, Coconut Wheel, Free Switch, Swedish Fish (aka Jelly Fish), Lucky Candy, UFO, Striped Brush, and Party Booster. Note that the unlimited lives is not a booster.

Unused boosters are stored in your inventory, which you can access by clicking on your profile picture in the top-left corner of your screen (above). Boosters can be earned in the following ways:

• In events, such as Dexter's Event, holiday events, Daily Booster Wheel, Treat Calendar, Lucky Beanstalk, and Lucky Beans. Some players can also earn boosters in episode races, although the prizes are usually gold bars. Note that all these events are test features which means they are not guaranteed to be in your game.
• Purchasing boosters from money and gold bars.
• Completing level milestones, like Levels 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000, 7000, 8000, and 9000.

Here is a list of how all these boosters can be used. (You can use any in-game booster on any level. The in-game boosters are Free Switch, UFO, Lollipop Hammer, Striped Brush, and the most famous, Party Booster.)

• Color Bomb: All Levels except Rainbow Rapids
• Striped + Wrapped: All Levels Except Rainbow Rapids
• Coconut Wheel: Pure Ingredients Levels ONLY, no Mixed Levels
• Jelly Fish: Jelly Levels and All Mixed Levels Involving Clearing Jelly
• Lucky Candy: Pure Order Levels ONLY, no Mixed Levels

Notes:

• Some levels do not allow you to select any pre-game boosters, like 846.
• Rainbow Rapids levels do not allow any pre-game booster.

Booster Properties:

In-Game Boosters

• Free Switch: It can switch any two candies that do not match, as long as they are adjacent to each other. 3 Free Switches for 19 Gold Bars.
• UFO: Using this booster will summon a UFO that puts 3 wrapped candies on the board (typically near blockers, jellies, or under ingredients) and sets them off. 1 UFO for 19 Gold Bars.
• Lollipop Hammer: It is a booster that the player can use to remove a single candy, a jelly below a candy, or a blocker without using a move. 3 Lollipop Hammers for 19 Gold Bars.
• Party Booster: After activating this booster, a piñata appears on the screen, two party poppers will blow out all candies and clear one layer of blockers (except some), similar to a cake bomb explosion or a color bomb + color bomb combination. The piñata will give the player a wrapped and a striped candy, as well as a jelly fish and a color bomb and they will replace random candies or blockers and will go off immediately. The party popper booster affects cake bombs, with one slice of each quarter of the bomb affected, unlike a regular cake bomb explosion. 1 Party Booster for 29 Gold Bars.
• Striped Brush: To activate it, one would click on a candy and it would turn said candy into a striped candy. You can choose which direction the striped candy becomes, by adjusting the mouse before clicking. 3 Striped Brushes for 19 Gold Bars.

Pre-Game Boosters

• Color Bomb: The booster simply adds a color bomb somewhere on the board at the start of the level. The price is 9 gold bars for 3, 27 for 10, and 49 for 20.
• Striped + Wrapped: When activated, a striped candy and wrapped candy will randomly spawn on the board at the start of the level (they can even spawn next to each other for a wrapped + striped combination). The price is 9 gold bars for 3, 27 for 10, and 49 for 20.
• Coconut Wheel: Will be activated right before entering the level. Sometimes it will spawn more than once in a level. The price is 9 gold bars for 3, 27 for 10, and 49 for 20.
• Jelly Fish: If selected upon entering the level, there would be only a single jelly fish in the level, but there is a chance that it will re-spawn at random times during the level, making this booster more useful than it used to be. This booster is useful in levels with a few especially hard-to-reach jellies. The price is 7 gold bars for 3, 21 for 10, and 39 for 20.
• Lucky Candy: By activating the booster, one lucky candy will be added to the board, and more may spawn. The price is 9 gold bars for 3, 27 for 10, and 49 for 20.

In the case for phones, your collected boosters is stored in phone memory. This stored boosters cannot be synced with the server, because the game studio still does not have this process. You will not be able to transfer the boosters to another device, you will lose the complete booster for app uninstalling or crashing. If you lose your boosters, you need to contact player support to get the purchased boosters back. If you play on mobile, then please email Player Support directly from the game. When sending an email directly from the game, Player Support will automatically get your purchase history and all transactions the recent 90 days. Go to the game's Start Menu, then Settings - Help Center - Purchases & Gold Bars - Contact Us - and send them an email.

That was a very interesting and useful summary of the boosters in Candy Crush Saga @Candylover01. This could be especially useful to the newer players who may not have a lot of experience with all the boosters.

A useful section to add in the future would be how to use the boosters in all the various combinations and the effects on the board.

My favorite booster is of course, the Party booster. Unfortunately, it is so rare for me I don’t get to use it much. Next to that one, I find the UFO to be a very powerful booster that is especially useful for clearing areas when running out of moves at the end of difficult levels.
