Not getting requests or lives

Now when I don't have anymore lives and I click ask my friends, only 20 something friends show up. It used to be close to 100. My friends say they are not getting my requests and I am not seeing theirs. Also not seeing them on the map or leaderboards. I deleted the app, logged in and out, deleted FB permissions and readded and nothing is working. Not going to spend a lot of time trying to figure this out before I just delete it altogether.

This feature is really undesirable. Why limit the number of friends that we can send lives.
