Less moves than other players

I’m on level 8036 and stuck! Why do I get 30 moves when every other player I’ve seen gets 40? Did I annoy someone at Candy Crush?

Hello there, Linda; levels get their moves cut soon after they're released.

So for anyone else that didn't get to play this one around the middle of October (in 2020), they'll have the same issue.

But just watch the video & see how that player did it, YMMV; may the candies/cherries similarly fall in your favour.
