    @Alienscar 😂 Good question! Actually I think I did press this button automatically. But one never knows. I will just go through this routine once more (no harm done, right?) and be very aware to click the delete button. Then I come back + tell you. 😘

    Haha @HaMa it is easy to not click the right button. I thought I had replied to you 22:30 last night. When I checked this morning my reply was still in my drafts.

    Doesn't matter. I was so busy yesterday, all through the evening as well... So, I did this routine again, clicked this button, shut down my laptop, went to make myself a coffee ... came back, started laptop, then started the game, tried to log into my account. Result: "Connection Error etc."

    Right @HaMa let us see if we can clear your app cache.

    Start by typing Settings into your cortana search as shown below. Please note that I have done this on a Windows 11 laptop so your view might look slightly different. Hopefully the words remain the same though. You remember where your cortana search is, yes?

    Click on the Settings option that appears in the right-hand pane. It should say Settings and have the word app written underneath.

    This should give you what you can see below

    In the list on the left-hand side find and click on Apps. This will give you what you can see below

    Click on Apps & Features which in my screenshot above is the first choice at the top on the right.

    This will give you something similar to what you see below. It won't be identical as you will have a different list of apps than I do.

    Clickin on Apps & Features gives you the following

    Find your Candy Crush Saga app amongst the list of apps that appear and then click on the three vertical dots. As you can see above this should give you the choice of Advanced Options/Move/Unistall.

    Click on Advanced Options and you will see something similar to what is shown below

    Scroll to the bottom of this page until you can see the word Reset. Hopefully yours being German the wording is the same.

    When you find the Reset option click on the Repair option. Do not click on Reset (yet)

    Under Reset you should see a sentence that says

    If this app isn't working correctly, we can try to repair it. The app's data won't be affected.

    Click on the Repair button

    Restart you PC and see if that has helped.

    Ah okay - here we are where I was before ... and I am sending you 2 screenshots so you see what my Win10/x64 is giving me instead:

    "Reset" is there, and in German it's called "Zurücksetzen" (plain translation here). However it DOES NOT give me the Repair option. The text under the "Reset" button reads: "If this app doesn't work properly, reset them. The data of this app will be deleted." No repair option offered.

    This last sentence frightens me. Anyway, here come the 2 screenshots

    Should I try to reset anyway? ,,, Above the reset option is "Beenden" which means to stop the app and all its processes involved.

    Just making a note of my actual progress in both CCSaga and CCSoda --- because if the data will be deleted I would like to get back to the levels, I am playing right now:


    CCSaga: 2723

    CCSoda: 1820

    Is this the error you are seeing?

    The writing in red says There was a connection error. Try again in a bit.

    @Alienscar - Yes exactly this is the thing which has been bothering me for weeks and weeks. It's so tedious!


    PS: When I log in, I always use the button under: "Already have a King account" ... because if I made a completely new registration I would have to start at Level 0 again.

    @HaMa sorry to hear that. This issue has been affecting the game since 2019 and there is no guaranteed fix for this issue I think.

    All you can do is uninstall and reinstall your app and hope that this fixes your issue. Unfortunately I have read that uninstalling the app doesn't work for everyone.

    As you are aware you will lose all of your unused boosters and saved lives when you do this.
