I'm afraid nothing can be done unless maybe you bought boosters with real money. You'll just be told that boosters are received and stored locally. In addition, reinstalling the game or updating your device's operating system will result in losing your boosters and stored lives.
What level are you at? What device are you using to play?
Oh, you mean problems started after last game app update? I just checked the Play Store and there's indeed a pending update. Now I'm afraid to download it because a month ago same thing happened with another bug.
You should definitely report this to Game Support and insist on compensation.
