Profile Name Issue

I am trying to change my profile name to as it currently appears on Facebook. An old name appears, which my husband used years ago, and I can't stand it. I am no longer connected with my Facebook friends who play Candy Crush. I did although change the picture. When I am asked "do you want to log out?" I press yes. Only for a few seconds my correct name and picture from my Facebook page appears, then it changes back to the old user name. I have tried to disconnect my Wi-Fi to hold the correct name but no luck. Advice?

    Hi and welcome to the community.

    Please do the standard troubleshooting by Log out, update your game application, Restart your device and login again. Check if it solves your issue.

    Sometimes it takes a few weeks before the avatar updates in the game from Facebook, so the old profile pic can stay in the game for a while.

    You can also try the trouble shooting steps HERE. It's for another issue, but may help in this case as well.

    Hello there @Sillyvana and good day to you.

    Understood that your Candy Crush profile keeps connecting back to your husband's Facebook account.

    I would also suggest that you perform the troubleshooting steps as per the link shared by Crazy Cat Lad. Just make sure the following is in order:-

    1) Your husband has completely logged out from the Facebook App installed in your device.
    2) Log out from your Candy Crush game and reinstall the Facebook App.
    3) Restart your device.
    4) Sign in the Facebook App using your usual account.
    5) Log back in to your Candy Crush game and click on the button on "continue with Facebook".

    Hope that your Candy Crush game is now sync with your Facebook account.

    I ended up uninstalling CC App and reloaded it. It is all back to normal except I lost 8 gold bars and a few boosters. Glad to be back at the same level 😌

    Correction: I still have my 8 gold bars and my 4 daily wins. I'm happy to have my correct Facebook profile back after uninstalling/re-installing CC and seeing my friends on the leaderboard 😊
