It looks like the game is freezing for some players when the Treat Calendar is popping up.
This is being looked into and hopefully fixed soon.
Meanwhile, please try with force closing (iPhone/ iPad) or force stopping (Android) the app. Then restart your device and open the game and you should be able to get back and play.

I don't know what device you are playing on but I suggest you turn your device off for at least 10 seconds then when you turn it on, clear your cache and of course make sure you have the latest version of the game and see if that has cleared up the issue.
Since you are new to the community - here is a guide to help you as you explore the various areas in the community!
I don't know what level you are on, but you can collect level badges for 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, and 6000. Just click HERE and then click on the link for each level and post a screenshot of your game map showing you have reached that level.

this has happened to me this afternoon as well. Can’t close the treat calendar and the countdown until next treat doesn’t run out for another 7 hours. Have tried force closing app but still shows frozen treat calendar when click to play. On iPad so not sure how to clear cache
