Welcome to the sweet King community. This problem has been affecting many players for weeks.
Recently some of them noticed that it is solved by turning off the Internet connections (it is not necessary to exit the game,) wait 2 or 3 minutes and turn them on again. It's working for most Did you try that?

I also noticed some problems in my game and this is probably a temporary problem. I will report the issue to my team and ask you to wait a while as currently I do not have any accurate information on this matter.
However you can follow the general troubleshooting steps below right now.
Check App Update > Log Out Game > Restart Device > Open Game & Log In.
If you receive an error message while following the steps above, show me a screenshot of it.

Thank you all for jumping on this and try to help me. I am happy to report that after doing the following, it resolved my issue and I'm back in the game! =)
Android: Settings > Apps > Candy game > Storage > Clear Cache.
