Hello and welcome to our beautiful community
I know this level very well and have been on it for a long time. Please don't give yourself a boon, the right game is coming. Sometimes it takes a little longer. Believe me, the game is coming and you will end it. I've seen it stop many times and I didn't notice it myself and thought I had to play again. You can do it.

This has now happened to me 3 times. Twice after crossing a wrapped and a sugar bomb end once after crossing a striped and a sugar bomb. I think it’s a glitch. New candies won’t fall in from the center. It’s blocked for some reason even though the candies or blocks usually will fall under normal circumstances. Very frustrating.
