Winter festival and lives

My lives on the main map aren't counting in the winter festival event. And as you can imagine the 5 lives you start out with don't last long, so it's frustrating not to get far. This was also an issue in the saltnado event to, so it is a shame this wasn't fixed by the developers before being released for us. I've tried the usual logging out, restarting etc doesn't make a difference.

Hi and welcome to the community.
I agree as the games are small and 5 lives can go away quickly. But its a bonus game and to achieve bonuses you should be able to work hard. Everything coming easy will lose its charm. So play smartly and as a tip i mostly use the event when i have a time booster it will help you to clear many levels easily.

Hi, @aijaziqbal I'm not an expert player, so while it may be a bonus event, I will still come across levels in this event where you will have to play it repeatedly until you pass it. So, you should be able to use the map lives towards it, as I'm not asking for easy, just fair and not only offering to use gold bars to get more lives or waiting for half an hour to pass.

@brightstar1 Hi yes this is how it works. You have 5 lives you lose one in the winter festival it takes 1 life from your main game, the lives are linked. you lose all 5 lives you have none left in the game or feature and have to wait 30 mins for a life to replenish. You do not get 5 lives for the feature and 5 for the normal levels. It is 5 lives in total

@Freddy_Falkner I don't think you're understanding what I meant my lives aren't linked. My lives are not acting that way, so for example if I sign into my game and play the winter festival and then lose a life, I will have 4 lives in the winter festival but 5 still in the main game. Then when I use up all my lives and I refill my lives it would refill in the main game but not the winter festival. The only option in the winter festival is to use gold bars to get 5 lives or wait half an hour to get another life. And by the time that has happened it's likely that I'll lose it pretty quickly trying to pass a level, so game play becomes frustrating really quickly. This happened in my game for the Saltnado version of this event too.

@brightstar1 Hi, i get what you mean but have not seen another report like that., so when you refresh you lives with those from your friends they are not adding to feature. only the timed lives are adding to feature,
Would need to find out if this is how feature works will try it on my device now to see if works the same

Do you know how many levels are in this event. I finished to do it and are around 80 levels. Part of them are hard even for an expert player. With 5 lives sure you cannot finished the game.

If you wana play for fun wait till you will have 5 lives or buy lives, this is the game.

Thank you for clarifying your experience with this event @Tzvi_Marcu. And like you said there are alot of levels some very challenging and 5 lives don't get you far. If this event was tested first, I'm suprised no one has raised this as an issue affecting their game play. Or, maybe they did and it was still rolled out anyway. Who knows with this game anymore.
