Hi there @Pounawea and thanks for creating this thread to clear some queries posted by the members here.
In fact, this is a good feature however, I also agreed with most of the players here that it benefits players who have yet to reach the end of the game map and those who have low weekly scores.
Even though I'm not at the end of the saga map, my current highest scores are 5,0028!!! Yes, it's crazy and I've reported to the studio about this glitch of having 5K level awarded to me by accident π. With this glitch, I could never enjoy this event although I've received it in my game. It's a loss to me as I would really love to win those GB π
Well, I hope the Game Studio is able to come up with similar event that allow more players to participate.

I was not offered an entry into this event βΉοΈ I am not surprised as I donβt even get a daily reward any more π₯² . I would not of been able to try regardless. At the top of the game so can only compete to 45 levels. My previous weekly level score was 86 π. My husband was offered entry into the event. He rarely plays Candy Crush. He is on level 146 with a previous weekly score of 3!! π€£π

That's not the same thing in this case, this is not for the race in the game against other players in your game like that player @lcicle_246 mentioned as said for 1st place 2nd place, 3rd, and nothing for 4th or 5th why not ? This is a race against your self from the week before to the week your playing this week trying for at least one level more this week than the previous week..example last week I got 281 levels this week if I get 282 levels I will win 50 Gold Bar's in my Game this is me against myself no other players. I hope this will help you out to better understand this information that @Pounawea is offering to us as Candy Crush Saga players from The Team at King Games, and maybe anyone that might have gotten confused in some way, Good luck to each of you and remember to Crush it Hard my friends and if you need more help @FlaringCrystal120 just ask I am always here to help and explain misunderstood information.
