at the begining cc claims I have not played every day !

If you play on Mozilla and have switched on private mode there. If this is possible, the temporary data will not be saved. It is also possible if you use a daily cleaning program on the pc.
Mobile it can happen if you clear the cache of the game.

Why are my lives constantly disappearing, usually several times a week I am back to NONE. I've lost hundreds & it is most annoying & not helping my gameplay

If you play with a browser, check whether you have switched on a cleaning program such as the add cleaner or a private mode. This clears the game's cache every time. This also includes data that saves life.

I am not aware of having switched on a life stealing program. I usually play on chrome on my pc, which fairly recently started to open in incognito mode. I always open a new normal tab & close the incognito before opening any web sites. I also play on my smartphone & android tablet, lives there are unaffected. I will try playing on a different browser to see if that makes any difference.

Oh & I do not clear cookies whenever I run CCleaner

Additionally I too am always sent back to day 1

With the CC cleaner cookies can or are deleted. Private mode is also a problem. The daily routine is not saved, therefore always the 1 day. The history in the browser is also deleted in private mode.
