I worked in IT as a QA Analyst for over 10 years. This is a bug. Look at the similarities between the maps I posted and the ones posted by broom_crush. Levels completed normally are flattened out and yellow. All the skipped levels are still raised with a single star, no candy crush stars. Guaranteed this is happening on more than 2 mobile devices.

I saw screenshots of your game maps, and I guess there have some problems with your game progress. If you are playing the game through Facebook then I suggest you to follow THIS link and then this steps below.
Check App Update > Log Out Game > Restart Device > Open Game & Log In.
