server error and losing progress

in Support
for the past couple days i have been unable to connect to a server, even though my internet connection is fine. i have been playing without my account connected to my facebook or an email and when I tested out uninstalling/reinstalling with another candy crush app, all my progress was lost. I am almost at level 5000 and do not want to lose my progress so is there any other option that I can do to get it to connect to a server again? I have also tried updating and restarting my computer. Is anybody else having this problem? Maybe it is just a bug.

Please refer to the update on the connection error as per below:-
As temporary measure, I suggest that you disconnect your computer from the internet, wait for a minute or more, then reconnect back again to the internet. Try and log in again.
If you're using browser, please ensure that the browser is update and clear the cache. Close the browser, restart the computer and log back in again.
I hope the above works for you for the time being. Otherwise, you may try again after few hours.

Welcome to the King Community.
After this problem, your game is not connected to the server and the levels you passed at that time will not be saved. You can fix the connection problem by uninstalling and reinstalling the app but you will lose the levels that were not saved.
To recover lost levels, need to reset your entire game progress and this will lost your original game progress. If you agree to this let me know your game ID and what level you were at
