More and likely, like a "central server" or mainframe. Heck i been trying to start over but cant. I went from 2 different computers, moved recovered my account and on a tablet. Now second tablet and still levels. Since your asking a question on here you should have a direct king account so you should have no problem....im stuck in the 2300's lol

If you connected the game via Facebook or Kingdom, your game is saved on that account and if your game is connected through any account, you will find the ''My Profile'' option in the game start page.
Plus, you'll find safer steps on how to move your game progress to another device at the link below.

As explained above if you game is saved with a King or Facebook account your levels and gold bars are safe and stored on kings servers. As this is a mobile device any Boosters or lives are stored on the device memory and changing devices this will not transfer .
As this is an Apple device you can try saving to the cloud and restore your game from this on your new device and there is a chance your boosters can be transferred, but we cannot guarantee this. I have done this in the past with no issues. Otherwise would try to expend all your boosters on the original device so you do not lose them
