I won my Weekly Contest last week with a reasonable number (I don't recall offhand, but I think it was, like, 40 or so), so hopefully they're turning things around, slowly but surely! For instance, I still had the troll troll when others didn't.

@Brian_Cronin I was in lead with 41 they had 28 when it popped up after a win. I play 1 game it pops up with me in second and they're at 51.
I haven't been using the free lives, I want to see if there's a limit. I forget exact totals but you'll get the idea.
Had 990 lives when I went to bed. Got up had 46 msgs 16 requests for lives and 30 given to me. Should be 1020 but it's still 990. When I kept an eye on it and added lives to get exactly 1000 it was ok. If I had 12 lives they weren't added on. Then I noticed I received 3 lives and total went down, not to 997 but 998?
They're still working the bugs out I guess. I have over 900 lives😳 now!!! Before the change I might get 1 or 2 a day! I love the changes!🥰

Mine has been back to normal for 2 weeks now, thank goodness! I think I would have thrown my phone if it had shown up again! I don't think they realized how it affected the fans of the game. Hopefully all will be back to normal soon. I have gotten a ton of friend requests which I accepted and I am getting plenty of lives now. The only other change I see is the chocolate box is only offering 10 gold bars instead of the 20 I was getting. I can handle that as long as everything else is right again! Thanks for everyone's input, I believe this campaign has been a win!

@Diane_Black did it pop up bold when you typed it? I see a ; behind Brian but not behind mine so that's not it. Try mine again and see what happens. Going to bed soon if I don't reply that's why. 😴

Hello Diane, if you type someone's name using the tag and then press tab/space you stop the tag from working.
To get tagged names to work you have to select the name from the list that appears as you type a tagged name.

Hi Kerrie one explanation for this is just the time difference between countries.
There is a five hour difference between the UK and where you live in the USA. So if you get up at 06:00am it is already 11:00am in the UK.

This just started recently. If that was the reason it would've been like that from the start.
Since it's much easier to get lives now maybe King does this so we purchase boosters to catch up? 🤷

Not necessarily the case I think Kerrie. The biggest change caused by the new friend feature is that everyone in our leader boards are keen Candy Crush players. Before the introduction of the new friend feature our leader boards were made up of random players some of which did not play, and everyone only had five lives to play with.
Also the number of lives available means players can now play for longer, and potentially get full use out of any timed boosters they receive.
