Please make sure that the app is updated and that the game is connected to your King or Facebook account. Force closing the app and restarting the device may also help.
If the event still doesn't show up, don't worry, it will run for three more weeks. So hopefully it will show up in your game next week and you can play it then.
@Peter_Tornaros - If the pink screen or squares keeps coming up, please force close/ stop the app and open the game again it should disappear.
