I got the same message but, mine said that only 1,800,000 were in the running. I was really disappointed when I only got 12 gold bars.

20,000,000 shared equally between 13,000,000 would be 1.5 gold bars each.
Reading other posts there seems to have been 3 groups of players.
The groups were separated by the quantity of orange candy they had to collect. 5700, 3900 & 3500 were the quantities. It would appear that each group are now receiving different amounts of gold.

There are something like 1.25 million people at the end of the map. Why Candy Royale can't find 100 players is a mystery to me.
There are 250 million people that play Candy Crush on a regular basis. Regular being at least once a mont.
I must admit that I have been surprised by the amount of gold handed out because I was honestly only expecting no more than 5 gold bars.

Yes I got the same message!! Even got the calculator out and divided the 20 million between us, I was buzzing thinking I was going to get over a million bars!!! I thought they had missed a couple of digits off when I only got 13!!! How disappointing!!! ☹️

Thanks for that info. I had to collect 5700 orange candies and received 23 gold bars. Makes more sense now how they have awarded the gold bars and why the amounts differ
