The End of Candy Crush

Level 2

I have been playing Candy Crush for some years (12340 levels!) and I have not been shy about buying gold bars now and again. However, the achievement deals have been diminished, the lives have been limited to 20 per day and the levels are reaching near impossibility without boosters or additional moves. Unless something changes I will not be continuing with this game.

I am upset about the limited 20 lives per day. I have more than that each day and now I cant use them.

  • I dont think they will make the changes, it seems like maybe the team is looking at increasing their in-app purchases for lives and gold bars. The game is designed to be addictive, cut off the source on how to play the game (i.e accumulated lives) players who truly cannot wait until midnight or ever half hour for a new life will purchase lives! The communication team tried to spin it as “encouraging the players to trade lives daily instead of accumulating them" aka if you want to play then you better pay $$$$$. Give them a 1 star rating in the app store!

    Level 2

I am very close to deleting Candy Crush. I have been playing for a number of years and have found the that the game is increasingly difficult to pass levels without buying boosters and gold bars. This game is obviously designed to be addictive and to make the player spend money. At the same time opportunities to win boosters have reduced greatly over time and what you do win is not necessarily delivered!!!! When contacting the support team they say this is a known thing and will be fixed but nothing has happened. I am however addicted and will have to quit as this is really affecting my mental health! Such greed. Shame on King!

  • I agree with all of the comments above.

I only broke down earlier this year and finally bought some gold bars. Lost all of my opportunities to win rewards across all of the games by watching ads.

Today I lost my Fantastic Five team. We've been together for years. They were a bright spot all through the pandemic. I think we missed our rewards once in all of that time.

I quit buying bars about a month ago.

I only play Farm Heroes Saga now. I used to play all of the King games but slowly quit one by one over time. I was really only playing Candy Crush to support my teammates. Now that motivation is gone too.

    Nothing lasts forever . . .
