Updating terms of service/loss of saved lives

Every time I have to agree to new terms of service, my saved lives are removed.
Why? Does this happen to everyone?

Resolved by itself...still, very annoying.

Yes, very annoying! I had several lives from friends that I saved because I had used my 20 a day and after the 'new terms' they were all gone. And I KNOW how to get friends, and why should I bother to add friends if I can only use 20 friends lives a day? Then I also have to go in each time there is "new terms" and turn off the sound and reset the no hints. This is the only game that I 'buy' things for $. I am very tempted to quit playing.
