What is wrong with the game sounds?

I'm not talking about the background music, but the sound effects of the game. They've been off for a few days and now tonight I can hardly hear them at all. And what I do hear sounds completely broken. It ruins the whole experience of playing :-(
Are you aware of this issue?

Came here to say the same. OP said it's not about the music, so that link is irrelevant. The candy sound effects are bad. They are the most important part of the game together with Mr. Toffee.. and some not-so-bright person is trying to change these to ruin it. Also, they're not just bad, but barely audible, the volume is very low and instead of hard candy sounds, they are just bubble effects. Can't undersdtand why ruin the game, it's like they gave game development over to some teenagers.

I specifically said that I'm not referring to the music. From what I can see, you pointed me to a poll about the new music/song that plays in the background.
I'm talking about the game sounds - each time you make a move. They are barely audible and sound completely ridiculous and don't match the actions.
Please, please fix them and make them sound like they used to.
